Further expanded credit capacity supports Avantus’ independent power producer strategy across California and the Desert Southwest

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – November 4, 2026 – Avantus, a leading developer, owner and operator of utility-scale solar and storage projects, today announced it has further upsized its corporate credit facility, increasing total commitments to $1.28 billion. The expanded facility builds on the $1.05 billion facility the company closed in August 2026.

The additional capacity adds momentum to Avantus’ independent power producer (IPP) strategy across California and the Desert Southwest, where its development pipeline totals 24 gigawatts (GW) of system capacity, including 13 GW of solar integrated with 44 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of storage.

New Lead Arrangers joining the consortium include Helaba, MUFG, NordLB, Santander and Standard Chartered. They join existing lenders SMBC, serving as Administrative Agent, Collateral Agent and Lead Arranger, alongside ING Capital LLC, HSBC, KKR, Truist Securities, Inc., BHI (Bank Hapoalim), CIBC, KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc., Mizuho, National Bank of Canada Capital Markets and Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking.

“We’re proud to renew and broaden our relationships with leading project finance banks, which reflects confidence in both our ability to execute and our trajectory as an independent power producer,” said Omar Karar, Executive Vice President of Capital Markets and M&A at Avantus. “We look forward to building on these relationships as we advance our solar and storage portfolio and scale our operating platform.”

KKR Capital Markets and EIG Capital Markets served as placement agents. Kirkland & Ellis served as legal counsel to Avantus and Milbank served as legal counsel to the lenders.
